Meet Kristin Priest, MA, CFRE

VICE PRESIDENT

Kristin Priest, MA, CFRE, brings more than 20 years of experience in fundraising, campaign planning, and nonprofit consulting. She partners with organizations across faith-based, healthcare, education, and public media sectors to strengthen development programs and advance mission-driven outcomes. Kristin specializes in mid- and major-gift strategy, capacity building, and the use of data and analytics to build sustainable, high-performing fundraising programs.

Kristin has led numerous campaign planning and feasibility studies, with particular depth supporting faith-based organizations. She works with leaders to assess readiness, align stakeholders, and design strategies for successful capital and comprehensive campaigns, combining disciplined analysis with a relational, mission-centered approach.

Prior to joining Windmill Hill Consulting, Kristin served in leadership roles at Allegiance Group + Pursuant and with Philanthropic Service for Institutions (PSI), housed within the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. Before her work with PSI, Kristin’s experience was rooted in higher education advancement, serving institutions including Washington Adventist University and Texas Christian University, where she built a strong foundation in major gifts, campaign development, and donor engagement.

A passionate advocate for the nonprofit sector, Kristin is committed to strengthening the profession through research and leadership. She serves on the AFP Research Council, is a member of the Milton Murray Fund Advisory Committee, and was a founding member of the AFP Growth in Giving Initiative. Kristin holds a Master’s degree in Philanthropic Studies and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
