Meet Liz Dunn
Senior Consultant
Liz is a seasoned nonprofit fundraising and management professional with experience across higher education, healthcare, human services, and social justice. She has worked with top consulting firms CCS Fundraising and Pursuant, helping nonprofits raise over $115 million as an advisor, gift officer, and team leader. In 2023, Liz launched her own philanthropy consulting business, supporting nonprofits in optimizing fundraising, advising individuals on impactful giving, and helping corporations develop strategic CSR programs. Her consulting clients have included Operation Smile, the Apollo Theatre, the Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights, the Child Mind Institute, Catholic Extension Society, and the University of Texas at Austin.
Previously, Liz led Development at RAICES, expanding a small, local team into a national operation. She launched new fundraising initiatives — including major corporate partnerships (Lyft, Glossier) — and served as Interim COO, overseeing a $30M budget and a $24M quasi-endowment investment. She later built the Development strategy at UoPeople, securing six- and seven-figure gifts, including from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Liz serves on the Advisory Board of IssueVoter and previously on the Board of Trustees for the Forum for Equality Foundation. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management and a Master’s in Public Administration from LSU. Passionate about philanthropy and nonprofit impact, Liz enjoys meeting new people (and their dogs), exploring Nashville, traveling, art, music, food, and Emmy-nominated TV shows.
