Derek John Rogers is an expert fundraiser and project manager who guides nonprofits in building stronger, deeper relationships with their donors. With 14 years of experience, he works hand-in-hand with clients to develop and execute customized fundraising strategies that generate increased and sustainable philanthropic revenue across a wide range of missions.

Derek’s passion for the nonprofit sector began in college, where his volunteer work showed him the sector’s transformative impact firsthand. This experience inspired him to dedicate his career to organizations making a difference. Early in his career, Derek discovered that effective fundraising is less about asking for money and more about connecting philanthropists with meaningful opportunities to invest in causes they care deeply about. Today, he counsels nonprofits on retaining their donor base while bringing new supporters into the fold, ensuring their missions remain sustainable for years to come.

Derek lives in Washington, DC’s Logan Circle neighborhood and enjoys running along the National Mall, listening to true crime podcasts, and traveling to a new U.S. state each year – next up is Alabama!
